INSTRUCTIONS

- Fill out the registration form completely (you can come back later and resubmit if you have minor changes in music, head count, etc, up until the deadline. FINAL DEADLINE IS OCTOBER 25th*.
- Your band must qualify at a Sanctioned FMBC Regional Event at the SUPERIOR or DISTINGUISHED level of achievement. Some exceptions apply - see Contest Rules for details.
- Please indicate the number of 4-Year Senior Performers. If not known at the time the form is submitted, please make an estimate, and update this information no later than October 25th.
- Postmark Date of your check must be before October 25th.
- FMBC will accept entries after October 25th to fill open slots caused by cancellations, etc. A $100 late fee will apply for any entries accepted by FMBC and postmarked after the October 25th deadline.
- Bands applying in the 'Traditional' class may not have to qualify at a Regional event in 2010. However the fees and the deadlines are the same as for the corps-style classes. Contact FMBC for alternate qualification information.
- Seeding for entries received prior to April 1st will be based on a random drawing of all entries (with deposit checks) received.

Your Seeding will be based on THE POSTMARK DATE OF YOUR CHECK - NOT THE DATE OF THIS APPLICATION!
- Your Seeding is, of course, also based on your level of achievement - Distinguished (Block), Superior, or other Exceptions. See Contest Rules for additional details.
- Seeding for bands in the Traditional class is dependent solely on the date of the receipt of the Registration Fee.

SPECIAL NOTE: Bands that participate in Prelims but do not qualify for finals may purchase evening finals tickets for the discounted price of $2.00 each for all performing members before leaving the Prelims site. All others (Except those with All-Event Staff Badges) must purchase full price tickets for the evening event at the box office. This includes parents, chaperones, bus drivers, and friends of the band.

FAILURE TO QUALIFY

Bands failing to receive a qualifying score will receive a full refund after the event. Bands having qualified who withdraw after October 25th will not receive a refund, but can still receive ONLY their 20 (or 30) wristbands for semi-finals at the band check-in at their scheduled performance site. Traditional-style bands do not have to participate in a Regional or achieve a qualifying score for this season.

PERFORMANCE RELEASE

FMBC recognizes and respects the rights of composers, arrangers, and designers. I hereby confirm that our band has or will have the legal right to perform our music and musical arrangements in this venue. I hereby grant FMBC and its designates the right to print, display, and/or otherwise distribute photographs and/or recordings of my band, including but not limited to staff members, students, parents, band boosters, and supporters. I agree to hold harmless FMBC. its host schools, Tropicana Dome personnel, and the city of St. Petersburg Florida for any problems, including but not limited to loss or damage to equipment, instruments, and vehicles, as well illnesses or injuries incurred by students, staff, supporters and other individuals associated in any manner with my band program. The IP address of the computer used to make this submission will be recorded and retained by FMBC.
