What is Form Login?

The Form Login feature allows users to create accounts that are associated with their form results. A user can use their account to save a partial result and return later to finish, or to view past results.

Login Accounts

To enable Form Login, edit your form and add a Form Login item, from the Specialty Items category. You can also directly enable or disable Form Login on the "Form->Form Login" page. You can allow users to create their own accounts, or manually create accounts.

To manually create user accounts, click the "Simple Add" tab and enter information in the appropriate boxes. Each account must have a username and password, email is optional. The "Bulk Add" tab allows you to create a large number of accounts in CSV format.

Form Login Examples

  • Add the Form Login item to form:
    1. Go to "Form -> Edit"
    2. Click the "Specialty Items" tab on the left and drag the Form Login item onto your form.
  • Optionally allow users to create a Form Login Account:
    1. Add the Form Login item to form
    2. Go to "Form -> Form Login"
    3. Make sure to check "Yes" under "Enable Form Login" and "Allow User Created Accounts".
  • Pre-define Form Login accounts for your users:
    1. Add the Form Login item to form
    2. Go to "Form -> Form Login"
    3. Make sure to check "Yes" under "Enable Form Login" and check "No" under "Allow User Created Accounts".
    4. To add an account, use either "Simple Add" or "Bulk Add" in the "Login Accounts" section.
  • Require users to create a Form Login Account prior to filling out the form:
    1. Add the Form Login item to form
    2. Go to "Form -> Form Login"
    3. Make sure to check "Yes" under "Enable Form Login" and "Allow User Created Accounts".
    4. Give out the link to the Form Login page instead of the link to the form itself.

Additional Information

  • Progress is be saved after each page is completed. For best results, use Page Break items to split your form into multiple pages.
  • You can require your users to establish a username/password for your form by providing only a link to the login page instead of a form link.
  • If you prefer to make accounts optional, you can add a Form Login item to your form. This item contains a link and description explaining that the user has the option of setting up a Form Login account. Adding a Form Login item to your form will automatically enable Form Login features.
  • Form Login accounts are only good for the form that they are created for.
  • Notifications will be sent each time a user completes or fully updates a result.
