Candidate for the APhA Linwood F. Tice Friend of APhA-ASP Award
Description: Formerly known as the "APhA Friend of ASP Award," this award was established in 1988 to recognize an individual whose long-term services and contributions have benefited the American Pharmacists Association Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA-ASP), and thereby, student pharmacists in general.
Criteria: The recipient of the APhA Linwood F. Tice Friend of APhA-ASP Award will be an individual who has demonstrated service and commitment to the APhA Academy of Student Pharmacists. This individual has: 1) supported student pharmacists over an extended period of time and at the national level; 2) been responsive to the needs of student pharmacists; 3) promoted the advancement of students within the profession; 4) served as a positive motivation for student pharmacists; and 5) must not be a past recipient of this award.
Candidate for the APhA-ASP Outstanding Dean Award
Description: The APhA Academy of Student Pharmacists Outstanding Dean Award was established to recognize a school or college of pharmacy Dean who has made significant contributions to the APhA-ASP Chapter and promoted with distinction the welfare of student pharmacists through various community service, leadership, and professional activities. This award was established in 2004.
Criteria: The nominee must: 1) be a Member of APhA; 2) have been an active Dean for at least one year; 3) have actively promoted student welfare; 4) made documentable contributions to achievements of the APhA-ASP Chapter; and 5) must not be a past recipient of the award.
Candidate for the APhA-ASP Outstanding Chapter Advisor Award
Description: The APhA-ASP Outstanding Chapter Advisor Award was established in 1988 to recognize advisors of APhA-ASP chapters who have promoted with distinction the welfare of student pharmacists through various professional activities.
Criteria: The nominee must: 1) be either an associate or active member of APhA; 2) have been an active chapter advisor for at least one year; 3) have actively promoted student welfare; 4) made documentable contributions to achievements of the chapter; and 5) must not be a past recipient of the award.
Nomination Process for all awards: The nominator is responsible for submitting a complete award nomination. Because nomination materials are to be uploaded below, you will need to have access to electronic copies of the nominee's CV/resume and letters of support.
The deadline for nominations is December 15, 2020 by 12 midnight PST. The nomination is to include the following items:
• A letter from the nominator describing the most important achievements of the nominee and explaining why the nominee meets the criteria for the award
• Letters of recommendation are optional; three (3) letters are required with a maximum of six (6) accepted
• A current CV or detailed resume
