Event Description:

The Brazilian Industrial Property Law (LPI), implemented in 1996, has been a cornerstone in regulating intellectual assets in Brazil. This legislation, constantly challenged by disruptive innovations and evolving interpretations of collective interests, plays a pivotal role in the nation's economic landscape.

This webinar series seeks to unravel the intricacies of the LPI through a unique lens, as discussed in the recently released book "Comments on the Brazilian Industrial Property Law by Women". Authored by sixty-six Brazilian women, this groundbreaking work provides diverse perspectives on LPI, which are essential for economic growth.

For 4 days, some of the authors of the book will be gathered to discuss interpretations and challenges of the LPI through the following panel division:

PANEL 1 - Shaping the Future: Discussing Patents and Industrial Designs in Brazil
PANEL 2 - SheMarks: Exploring Trademark Possibilities in Brazil
PANEL 3 - How to defend and incentivize innovation at the same time? Discussing IP Infringements and Solutions in Brazil
PANEL 4 - Beyond Borders: Navigating IP Agreements and the Territoriality Principle
