GSA 2025 Workshop Application

Applications are reviewed by a Workgroup assisting the GSA Program, Publications, and Products Committee for possible inclusion in the Gerontological Society of America's Annual Scientific Meeting. Scheduling of workshops is at the discretion of GSA Operations.

Notifications of acceptance will be distributed May 1st, 2025.

A processing fee of $100 is due to GSA for the workshop application. 

Workshop Information

  • The GSA 2025 Annual Scientific Meeting is now a 4-day event, from Wednesday, November 12 to  Saturday, November 15, 2025.
  • Accepted workshops will be scheduled Wednesday-Saturday in 4-hour time slots (8 AM-12 PM), with five workshops per day.
  • An Attendee fee will be required for signup.

The standard setup for all workshops is classroom-style. To best meet the needs of your programming, please select your layout preference, and we will do our best to accommodate your desired setup. *

partaking in your workshop?

Workshop Description for Marketing
 
GSA will promote your workshop through our website (gsa2025.org), pre-conference emails to meeting registrants and members, and through features in Gerontology News, GSA's monthly newsletter. Other promotional acitivities will be undertaken at the discretion of GSA Operations. In the event that enrollment in a workshop is insufficient (less than approximately 20 registrants), GSA reserves the right to cancel a workshop.

GSA recommends that all workshops be endorsed by a GSA Section, Organization, Unit, Committee, or Interest Group.

Presenter Information

Registration

Each accepted conference Workshop is entitled to one (1) full complimentary GSA meeting registration. This only includes events included in the standard registration fee. Additional events must be purchased separately. These registrations are non-transferable. Changes to the above registrations cannot be made after September 3, 2025.

Presenters are required to register for the GSA annual meeting if they plan to attend any events or sessions outside of the workshop.

Workshop presenters are not required to register for the workshop, their names and affiliations should be provided below for promotional purposes.

As the workshop organizer, it is your responsibility to distribute the registration code and instructions provided by GSA staff to your speaker taking advantage of the complimentary registration. You will also be responsible for compiling the presentations on a USB thumbdrive and working with the onsite audio visual team to save your presentations onto a designated computer in the presentation room in Boston.

Audio/Visual and Beverage Service Information

GSA will provide the following for all Workshops:

Audio/Visual Equipment: 

  1. LCD Projector and Screen
  2. Podium and Microphone
  3. PC Laptop
  4. Standing Microphone

Note: Workshop rooms will not have internet or Wi-Fi capabilities, unless you make special arrangements to order this separately. *      

Beverage Service: 

Coffee, tea, and water will be provided.

*Workshop organizers are responsible for requesting and financing any additional Audio/Visual or Food & Beverage needs, internet access in the room, copies of all handout materials, and any other expenses associated with the Workshop.
