Future Tank!
The Future Tank! program includes a two week leadership academy where you (young adults ages 18-24) will create a marketing and outreach strategy to engage more young adults like you in services and activities offered by Arapahoe/Douglas Works!  You will have the opportunity to compete in a “Shark Tank” style competition with the winner eligible to receive $250 and have the chance at a paid work experience with local area companies!

Construction Academy
The Construction Jobs Boot Camp is a training program designed for you (young adults from 18 to 24), if you are ready for employment in construction. Colorado Construction Institute’s partners are hiring middle-skilled employees in “specialty trades” - demolition, siding, concrete, drywall, framing, etc. This program will prepare you for immediate employment with CCI’s Industry Partners. You will spend 75% of your time engaged in hands-on training. You will earn a $250 stipend for completion, an OSHA 10 certification, starter tool kit, and a referral to companies hiring.

Healthcare Academy
Are you interested in helping people?  If so, the Healthcare Pre-Apprenticeship program may be for you!  It is a three week training that will give future 21^st century health workers certifications in CPR, BLS, HIPAA, Bloodborne Pathogens, ServSafe, and Youth Mental Health First Aid in order to be competitive applicants in the workforce and propel you towards an exciting healthcare career pathway. You will explore different pathways in the healthcare field, meet healthcare professionals, tour schools and will receive hands on experience!

Hospitality Academy
Looking to explore a career in the restaurant and hotel industry? If so, you have checked in to the right academy!  The Hospitality Academy is a partnership between the Colorado Hotel and Lodging Association and Arapahoe/Douglas Works! for young adults ages 18-24. The academy is taught by a professor from Johnson and Wales University and will explore the different career pathways within the hospitality industry. You will also become certified as a Restaurant TRAC Server, Guest Service Gold, and ServSafe upon completion. You will receive a $250 incentive for passing all certification tests and after the two week classroom training, you will complete a paid work experience at a hotel in the department of your choice!

Work Experience Opportunities
Do you want to earn while you learn? Work experiences are your opportunity to gain valuable essential skills for being successful in the workplace.  This program is designed for young adults age 16-24.  You will be paired up with a local business and it will allow you to be immersed in a real life job setting while being mentored by industry professionals.  The best part is that you will be earning a paycheck and adding industry recognized skills to your resume along the way.
