Join AVAHO online or in-person* for this 4-hour workshop into health literacy in veterans with cancer.

This workshop is intended for healthcare professionals who care for veterans with cancer and hematological disorders. It is the first in a series of workshops dedicated to helping participants:

Understand the scope of the problem of low health literacy and its negative impact on cancer care;
Develop methods to detect health literacy challenges among patients;
Enhance communication between healthcare professionals and veterans with cancer.

There is no cost to attend this workshop, but participants are asked to commit to 3 additional 2-hour workshops. Remaining workshops will be held virtually.

*in-person participation is limited to individuals attending the AVAHO 2023 Annual Meeting.
