Position: Senior Consultant – Supplier Development

Fetola has a head office in Plumstead, Cape Town with a national network of providers.

The SD consultant will have deep understanding of supplier development challenges within the corporate environment, including procurement, transformation and strategy. They will be equipped to design and drive corporate solutions at EXCO level, and work in close liaison with the Fetola small supplier growth team.

Experience and Training:

  1. 20+ years’ prior work experience in relevant corporate environment
  2. University degree in Business Management, Supply chain or related
  3. Excellent spoken and written English
  4. Innovative thinking and strong leadership
  5. Excellent relationship building and communication skills
  6. Advanced computer skills including MS Office Suite

Roles and responsibilities:

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Design of Supplier Development strategy for corporate clients
  • Recruit and manage specialist team of providers
  • Implement client-side support solutions
  • Work alongside Fetola’s small supplier growth teams
  • Actively contribute to the Fetola Supplier Development team

Systems Analyst/Information Systems

We are seeking a capable, energetic and very bright individual to be responsible for coordinating the development and maintenance of information systems within the organisation.

The chosen candidate will play an important role in identifying, creating and implementing new information systems and technology solutions in the organisation. The role requires proven analytical skills, a passion for problem solving and excellent IS skills.

Experience and Training:

  1. University degree in Information Systems or related
  2. Proven Information Systems skills
  3. Prior work experience, 3-5 years in similar field
  4. Database management experience
  5. Advanced computer skills including MS Office Suite
  6. SQL and MySQL experience (non-negotiable)
  7. Sound understanding of OO principles
  8. Sound understanding of System Development Methodology and Architecture
  9. Working knowledge of UML
  10. Research and understand business needs and requirements
  11. Creating functional specifications and system design specifications
  12. Familiarity with the following languages: PHP, HTML, CSS, JS

Core Competencies:

Proven ability to analyse problems and apply effective, innovative solutions to resolve them. Strong organizational and project management, written and verbal communication skills. The ability to manage a team and to work effectively without close supervision is required. Candidate should have a passion for making a difference, be self-motivated, meticulous and detail-orientated. Candidate should be culturally sensitive, personable and a reliable and committed team member.

Key Tasks:

  1. Day to day maintenance of IT infrastructure;
  2. Creating new or improving data processing solutions;
  3. Knowledge Management
  4. Website and email maintenance
  5. Identify, create and implement new information systems and technology solutions in the organisation
  6. Communicate with the developer during the creation & maintenance of long-term and adhoc IT systems to resolve business problems
  7. Manage internal team, and external service provider

Position: International Internship

Location: Western Cape, Cape Town, Plumstead

Stipend: R3500 per month

Duration: We encourage students seeking an internship from 4 months and longer to apply
