2020 MVVC Boys May Tryouts Athlete Information

NOTE: IF YOU ARE ALREADY ON AN MVVC TEAM, PLEASE DO NOT COMPLETE THE REGISTRATION BELOW. This is for potential new players only.

Welcome to the Mountain View Volleyball Club 2020 May Tryout Registration.

Tryouts for 12s, 13s and 14s will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2020.

Tryouts for 15s, 16s, 17s and 18s will be held on Sunday, May 10, 2020.

Please check the MVVC website for specific times.

This registration is for our Boys Power League Club Program. To tryout with our program, you must complete this on-line registration form. All teams will be attending the SCVA Boys West Coast Classic in Anaheim, California and the USAV Boys Junior National Championships in Reno, Nevada.

Please be aware that if you played for a different club in the Fall, you must bring with you to the tryout (or upload here) the NCVA Change Club Form signed by the Director of your Fall club.

We will be unable to consider your player for an MVVC team if you do not receive a release from your Fall club. We are required by the Northern California Volleyball Association (NCVA) to submit this form for any and all players who join our club after being members with another team within the 2018-2019 year, regardless of whether their program is continuing or not. The NCVA does not keep track of which programs do not have summer teams or which teams within a club are disbanded. The only way the NCVA (and MVVC) can be sure you have been released from your previous club commitment is if you complete the form.

Please note: If you signed a Letter of Commitment in the Fall, Clubs are under no obligation to release you. If a club is not continuing with your team in the summer season, this is usually not an issue; however, if you are planning to leave a team that is on-going, it can be. Please be aware that obtaining a release does not guarantee you a spot on one of our teams and may impact your position with your Fall club.

You may complete the form and then scan and email it to the director of your Fall club for signature. Our director will sign it once you have been offered and accepted a spot on our team.

For your information, the USAV/NCVA Age Group definitions for 2019/2020 are as follows:

18 and Under: Born between Sept. 1, 2001 and August 31, 2002 (SENIORS)
17 and Under: Born between Sept. 1, 2002 and August 31, 2003 (JUNIORS)
16 and Under: Born between Sept. 1, 2003 and August 31, 2004 (SOPHOMORES)
15 and Under: Born between Sept. 1, 2004 and August 31, 2005 (FRESHMAN)

MVVC Photo and Video Use Policy

Mountain View Volleyball Club (MVVC) reserves the right to use any photograph/video taken at any event sponsored by MVVC, without the expressed written permission of those included within the photograph/video. MVVC may use the photograph/video in publications or other media material produced, used or contracted by MVVC including but not limited to: brochures, invitations, books, newspapers, magazines, television, websites, etc. A person attending an MVVC event who does not wish to have their images recorded for distribution should make their wishes known to the photographer, and/or event organizers, and/or contact MVVC in writing of his/her intentions and include a photograph. MVVC will use the photo for identification purposes and will hold it in confidence. MVVC Early Bird Tryout Fee - $25

The Early Bird registration fee is $25 and can be paid by credit card by following the link below. The fee will increase to $30 if you wait until tryouts to pay and must be paid by the beginning of the tryout.

MVVC believes in giving every player that desires to play volleyball, the opportunity to play. We cannot continue to do this without the help of our many families who have contributed to our financial aid fund. We greatly appreciate any help.
