2020-2021 MVVC Girls August Training Registration

Welcome to the Mountain View Volleyball Club 2020-2021 August Training Registration.

Due to the uncertainties regarding the impact of COVID mitigation requirements, MVVC will be offering a new Training program. Groups will be set up and practice for 3-week intervals. Our intention is that the groups may change every 3-weeks until the Girls Power and Premier League seasons begins.

Please complete this on-line registration if you are interested in joining a Training group. Please note: This program is intended for players who plan to participate with MVVC during the upcoming Power or Premier League season.

MVVC plans to offer 5-6 training blocks between Aug. 10 and the beginning of the high school season on Dec. 14, 2020. Players will automatically be rolled into the next block unless you request that we remove you. Grouping may be changed between blocks, if needed, due to changing participation or as MVVC deems necessary.

Video Submission - PLAYERS NEW to MVVC ONLY

If you previously played for another club, you may submit a link to a video below. (NOTE: Players who played with MVVC in the 2019-2020 season do NOT need to submit a video.)

Please submit a link to a YouTube, Vimeo, or other video playing site. This form does not allow the uploading of video files.

Video Tryout Suggestions:
-When possible, players should submit 20-30 min of unedited game film. Pauses between points are okay. The time frame is approximately the time of 1 set of volleyball.
-Film from high school or club is acceptable.
-You do not need to put together a highlight film.

-If you do not have game film, you may choose to demonstrate your athleticism and volleyball skill.

--To demonstrate athleticism, include video of jumping to touch a basketball rim, or other standard height item.
--For volleyball skills, simple partner passing or setting drills are fine. For example, a parent or sibling may toss the ball to the player who then forearm passes or sets the ball back. Players may also show video of themselves hitting the ball into the ground, or serving the ball over a 'net' (use a string or similar volleyball net height item to serve over).

MVVC Photo and Video Policy

Mountain View Volleyball Club (MVVC) reserves the right to use any photograph/video taken at any event sponsored by MVVC, without the expressed written permission of those included within the photograph/video. MVVC may use the photograph/video in publications or other media material produced, used or contracted by MVVC including but not limited to: brochures, invitations, books, newspapers, magazines, television, websites, etc.  A person attending a MVVC event who does not wish to have their image recorded for distribution should make their wishes known to the photographer, and/or the event organizers, and/or contact MVVC in writing of his/her intentions and include a photograph.
