2024 MVVC Boys May Tryouts Athlete Information

Welcome to the Mountain View Volleyball Club 2024 May Tryout Registration.

Tryouts for 12s, 13s and 14s will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024.

Tryouts for 15s, 16s, 17s and 18s will be held on Sunday, May 5, 2024.

This registration is for our Boys Power League Club Program. To tryout with our program, you must complete this on-line registration form. All teams will be attending the NorCal Cup Tournament in San Jose, California, the AAU Boys SoCal Cup Showcase in Anaheim, California, and the AAU Boys Junior National Championships in Orlando, Florida.

NOTE: Please select only one. Coaches will assess all possible placements during tryouts. MVVC's general policy is that players participate with their grade level when possible.

For your information, the USAV/NCVA Age Group definitions for 2023/2024 are as follows:

18 and Under: Born between July 1, 2005 and June 30, 2006 (SENIORS)
17 and Under: Born between July 1, 2006 and June 30, 2007 (JUNIORS)
16 and Under: Born between July 1, 2007 and June 30, 2008 (SOPHOMORES)
15 and Under: Born between July 1, 2008 and June 30, 2009 (FRESHMAN)
14 and Under: Born between July 1, 2009 and June 30, 2010 (8th GRADERS)
13 and Under: Born between July 1, 2010 and June 30, 2011 (7th GRADERS)

Please be aware that if you played for a different club in the Fall, you must bring with you to the tryout (or upload here) the NCVA Change Club Form signed by the Director of your Fall club.

We will be unable to consider your player for an MVVC team if you do not receive a release from your Fall club. We are required by the Northern California Volleyball Association (NCVA) to submit this form for any and all players who join our club after being members with another team within the 2023-2024 year, regardless of whether their program is continuing or not. The NCVA does not keep track of which programs do not have summer teams or which teams within a club are disbanded. The only way the NCVA (and MVVC) can be sure you have been released from your previous club commitment is if you complete the form.

Please note: If you signed a Letter of Commitment in the Fall, Clubs are under no obligation to release you. If a club is not continuing with your team in the summer season, this is usually not an issue; however, if you are planning to leave a team that is on-going, it can be. Please be aware that obtaining a release does not guarantee you a spot on one of our teams and may impact your position with your Fall club.

You may complete the form and then scan and email it to the director of your Fall club for signature. Our director will sign it once you have been offered and accepted a spot on our team.
