Welcome to the Area Representative Annual Certification test. This test is a requirement of the Department of State and administered by Pan Atlantic Foundation. Each Area Representative must pass this test in order to be certified to place J1 Visa exchange students within the United States.
Prior to taking this test, you must review the Department of State J1 Visa Regulations materials provided to you by your Regional Director.
There are 4 versions of this test. Each test has 30 questions with only one correct answer worth 1 point. You must pass this test with a minimum of 27 points to receive your certification. Once you have completed the test, you will be given your score right away, as well as an educational summary of the questions you answered incorrectly. Once you pass, you will be certified for 1 calendar year. If by chance you do fail this test, you may repeat it up to 4 times.
