Summer Assistance

Vanderbilt Student Communications offers a limited number of grants to help fund students’ summer educational opportunities. Depending upon the number of applications received and the nature of the requests, VSC may fund all, part, or none of requested expenses.

Expenses that may be covered include:

• travel

• lodging

• some program fees

In most cases applicants will be notified of the status of their request within two weeks of submission.

Preference is given to applicants who have been active in one or more Vanderbilt Student Communications student media groups or associated media projects. Preference also is given to applicants who clearly communicate the expected educational value of their summer activities and how the assistance will help them achieve their short- and long-term goals.
