(If you don't identify wholeheartedly with any one group, please the one you object to least.)

Wary Protectors focus “minding our own business.”  We can control things inside our country and change forced on us by the outside world just degrades our Economy & Society.

Wary Adapters think change can be for the better but is often for the worse.  Their wariness reduces the information they absorb about what they consider to be the “external” context of America’s Economy & Society, weakening the traction made possible by their realistic attitude.

Wary Improvers accept the need for change.  They want to create the best Economy & Society our country is capable of, for ourselves and as an example to the world.

Open Improvers embrace change and look at other countries for strategies to move our Economy & Society forward once again.  They are desperate for the traction and, while not pessimistic, one senses that they foresee failure.

Open Adapters think change can be for the better but is often for the worse.  Like wary Adapters, they tend to include other cultures in their search for strategies, but they are judicious about what they suggest we adopt.  They do not “translate,” they “interpret.”

Open Protectors resist change that they feel degrades our Economy & Society.  They focus on a threatened national core of beliefs, values, and a common narrative.  Open Protectors focus less on things like infrastructure and more on the disruption of our culture by Globalization.
