RTAC TICKETING REQUEST FORM

The Robsham Theater Arts Center (RTAC) Box Office sells tickets to both on-campus events and off-campus events.  If you are looking to have the RTAC Box Office sell tickets to your event, please fill out the following form.  All requests for ticketing services must be submitted online via the RTAC Ticketing Request Form at least 4 weeks before event date (forms that are submitted with less than 4 weeks before their event, risk their event being cancelled).

Please note that the RTAC Box office is only in operation between September 1-May 30. No ticketing services are available in the summer months. As the Fall is exceptionally busy, ticketing requests for September should be submitted by April 30 of the previous academic year.

Once the Ticketing Request Form has been submitted, a "draft" of the tickets will be created in the RTAC Box Office system. These tickets will then be reviewed by the event contact listed on the ticketing form (if a student group, this should be the Treasurer) and the RTAC Box Office Manager. Once the ticket is approved by both parties, the Box Office Manager will then determine the exact date in which the sales of the tickets can go live.

To request a reservation in the RTAC venues, please complete the RTAC Scheduling Request Form.

If you have any questions regarding tickets, please email rtactickets@bc.edu or call 617-552-4002.

SPONSOR INFORMATION

Only one person’s name from the group hosting the event can be listed as the contact on the Box Office Ticketing Form. For student groups, this should ideally be the Treasurer, as this person will be the only one contacted about approving a sample ticket and will be the groups dedicated liaison with the RTAC Box Office regarding discussion on ticket sales, procedures and ticket sales information.
Once the form is completed and submitted, a copy of the results will be automatically emailed directly to the RTAC Box Office Mgmt as well as to Margo Caddell <caddellm@bc.edu>.

Ticket Design

For student groups, all events that are charging admission (regardless of where the event is being held, including off-campus venues) must be ticketed, and have an on-sale date prior to day of the show.

Complimentary Tickets/Reserved Seats

The total number of seats in the Robsham Main Stage event is 567. This number includes 22 jump seats, which will only be sold at the door. In line with standard theater practices, RTAC Box Office reserves the right to hold a very small number of “Emergency House” seats, which need to be available in case a patron-related customer service issue needs to be resolved. Therefore the maximum number of tickets available is 560 tickets in the Robsham Main Stage.
Events in the Conte Forum are General Admission. Capacity is usually 3,500 to 5,000 tickets total depending on the event.
Events in the Rec Plex are General Admission. Capacity is usually 1,800 tickets total.
Events in the Trinity Chapel are General Admission. Capacity is usually 550 tickets total per performance.
Events in the Bonn Studio Theater are General Admission. Capacity is usually 121 seats (including 3 seats for RTAC Front of House Staff) maximum. 4 of these seats must be handicapped accessible.
A reminder: Per the RTAC Box Office Policies, it is the responsibility of the groups requesting complimentary tickets to keep their own records of who received the "comp" tickets for auditing purposes.
Due to the potential for heavy door sales the night of the show, we request that all complimentary tickets are claimed during regular business hours (10am – 4pm Monday through Friday) or via email at RTACtickets@bc.edu. If any complimentary tickets are to be picked up the night of the show, we ask that the individual receiving the complimentary tickets contact us in advance to confirm the ticket for us to hold it at the RTAC Box Office’s “will call.” The RTAC Box Office reserves the right to release any unclaimed complimentary tickets 10 minutes before show time for sale purposes.
Sometimes events will issue restrictions with regards to video/photography. Please identify what option you prefer and the RTAC staff will do our best to share this information with our guests. *
Just a reminder: Please email the RTAC Box Office  (RTactickets@bc.edu) with names of any press so they are alerted of who is coming so they can issue them a press pass for the event.

EVENT MARKETING & PROMOTION ASSISTANCE

The amount of the fee is based on a sliding scale; please see the table below for reference. When advertising the tickets for your event, fees MUST be included in the advertised price. For example, an $8 admission charge must be advertised as on sale for $10 ticket.
As this is a Theatre Dept production, the Theatre Dept has agreed to manage their own marketing.  The RTAC Box Office will use the standard "BC Theatre" images for the associated online ticketing pages. Additionally, the RTAC Box Office will link this webpage for information on the shows:
https://www.bc.edu/bc-web/schools/mcas/departments/theatre/about/the-performance-and-production-program/current-season.html

If a phone number is needed for specific information on the shows, the RTAC Box Office will give out 617-552-4012.
Just a reminder, if it's a free event AND the event is ticketed, all promotional materials (with the exception of the logos for the RTAC Ticketing Website and Event Calendar) must include information that tickets are required, so patrons understand they need a ticket for entry.

All content is subject to review and approval by the RTAC Box Office.
Just a reminder, if it's not a free event, all promotional materials (with the exception of the logos for the RTAC Ticketing Website and Event Calendar) must include the total price of the ticket (admission charge plus fee).
